Modern dating can be exhausting, but before you lose all hope of finding love, here are some things women are avoiding while dating in 2022. Relationship psychologist, Emma Kenny, told The U.S. Sun that "people wait too long for the big conversations." If you want a long-term relationship, you should openly discuss your "core needs" and "non-negotiables" up front. Women are also choosing not to stay stuck in "situation-ships," per ABC, which are relationships that aren't defined yet. By being up front, these women are putting their wants and needs on the table.

Cosmopolitan also shared that "untyping" will be huge this year and gave the example of Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson because he is definitely not her usual "type." If dating how you normally do hasn't worked out in the past, it may be time for a change. Research from the dating app Badoo added that "three-quarters of singletons are looking to let go of their 'type' for 2022," so you might as well try it as well.

While physical attraction is important, that may also be something you want to put lower on your priorities. According to Match, 83% of singles in America are looking for more  "emotional maturity in a partner over physical attractiveness." Let's face it, people age but inner beauty doesn't. Nowadays, StyleCraze has also noted that women are more honest and asking the questions they want to ask, because you want to know things about your potential partner if you see a future with them. You need to be your true self and understand their true self to find your happily ever after together.
