Nearly three months after Maralee Nichols gave birth to her son with Tristan Thompson, on Dec. 1, 2021, the model is revealing the baby's name: Theo Thompson (via E! News). 

"Theo, my little angel baby. I named you Theo because it means, 'Gift from God,'" Nichols captioned a photo of her holding the boy on Instagram. 

She went on to detail how she had never been pregnant before and was told that it might not be medically possible.

"I couldn't believe I was pregnant, when I saw you on the ultrasound and your little heartbeat I knew I would always protect you and keep you safe," she wrote. "I love you more than you'll ever know. You bring such joy and happiness into my life. My greatest blessing."

A copy of little Theo's birth certificate also reveals that Tristan is not listed as his father. Nichols revealed that Thompson's name wasn't put on the birth certificate "because he was not present at Theo's birth."

Nichols claims that the NBA player has not been present in the little boy's life thus far, even though he had earlier pledged to "amicably raise [their] son" via a public statement.

"Despite news reports stating otherwise, Tristan Thompson has done nothing to support their son," Nichols' rep previously said in a statement. "He has not made any attempt to meet their son nor has he provided any financial assistance."

Meanwhile, Thompson is staying quiet about the whole situation.
