Welcome is one of the most loved and anticipated film franchises in Bollywood. The first film instalment in the superhit comedy film franchise, Welcome released on Christmas 2007 and featured Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in lead roles alongside Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Paresh Rawal and Feroz Khan in pivotal roles. The film was directed by Aneez Bazmee and went on to become one of the highest grossing films of the year.
Now there have been reports that the next film in the series is being planned. Speculations say that the lead roles will mostly be essayed by Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar.

Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar were engaged briefly in the 1990s, but the couple fell apart and went their separate ways. After moving on many years ago, they appear to be comfortable talking about each other publicly.
