This online symposium will include research presentations, discussions about challenges and opportunities and networking among others conducting LGBTQ+ research across disciplines. Healing Event

This virtual space is designed for the KU Medical Center LGBTQIA+ community to come together in solidarity and support to discuss, process and begin the healing process from discrimination members may have faced. Drs. Amanda Lappin and Larry Long will guide this discussion, reflection, and healing. We ask that this event be reserved for those identifying as members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

2021 Pride Month Research Day Book
Research day presentations will highlight research focused on the LGBTQIA+ community or research done by community members who identify as LGBTQIA+. A keynote address delivered by Dr. Katie Batza, Associate Professor of Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies at the University of Kansas, will follow digital presentations.
FX Pride Documentary Discussion
June 24, 4 - 5 p.m.
PRIDE is a six-part documentary series chronicling the struggle for LGBTQ+ civil rights in America from the 1950s through the 2000s. "Seven renowned LGBTQ+ directors explore heroic and heartbreaking stories that define us as a nation. The limited series spans the FBI surveillance of homosexuals during the 1950s Lavender Scare to the "Culture Wars" of the 1990s and beyond, exploring the queer legacy of the Civil Rights movement and the battle over marriage equality."
