So just how much sugar is in Chick-fil-A's lemonade? A stomach-churning amount, according to its website. While Chick-fil-A does stick to the standard recipe of lemon juice, water, and sugar for their lemonade, a medium drink contains a whopping 58 grams of carbs and 220 calories. A copycat Chick-fil-A recipe from the blog Real Mom Kitchen calls for eight to ten lemons, five and one-third cups of water, and a cup of sugar.

While people are swearing off the drink because of its high sugar content, there are other options. You could always water it down if you don't want such a sugar-filled drink, or opt for the sugar free version of Chick-fil-A's lemonade, which is made with Splenda instead. Or you could opt for a soft drink. While soda is notoriously sugar-laden, a medium Coke at Chick-fil-A only has 54 grams of carbs and 190 calories. It's still a lot of sugar, but less than in their lemonade.
