Despite the controversies that plagued her past and a breast cancer scare, according to People, Dickinson has moved past it all and thrived. Her fighting spirit and talent have also earned her the admiration of her sweetheart and husband, Dr. Robert Gerner. The psychiatrist was her support system as she went through a breast cancer battle that she has since won. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Dr. Gerner stated, "Janice went through some phases, she was really strong with the surgeries, but the radiation treatment drains you of energy and she became fatigued and her normal level of hyper energy just went away." Dickinson says Rocky — as she affectionately calls her then-fiancé — was her "rock" during that time.
