I then finished my Master's degree in Biochemistry from Agriculture University Palampur, HP, India. I moved to Chandigarh (Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, PGIMER) for my PhD. For my postdoctoral fellowship, I moved to Mount Sinai School of Medicine. New York to join Dr. Katherine Borden, where I was trained in molecular biology of Cancer. Soon thereafter, I joined a second postdoctoral position under the mentorship of Dr. Gregory Vanden Heuvel. Here, I gained a vast expertise in the field of kidney development, glomerular and polycystic kidney diseases. Since then I have worked as a Senior Scientist, Research Assistant Professor and currently a tenure track Assistant Professor at the Jared Grantham Kidney Institute (JGKI). Here at the JGKI, I continue to develop and expand my expertise and work in HIV-associated chronic kidney disease and polycystic kidney disease.
