Research
Overview
Dr. Bose started his laboratory at the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2014. The research of his laboratory focuses on the host-pathogen interface of infection by Staphylococcus aureus, focusing primarily on CA-MRSA strains. These studies seek to identify novel pathways that S. aureus uses to cause disease. The main projects in the lab examine how stress response pathways and fatty acid metabolism impact cell physiology, gene regulation, and pathogenesis. We accomplish this using a combination of genetics, metabolomics, transcriptomics, in vitro cell culture assays, and murine models of infection.
