Karan Johar's recently released Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has received a lot of love. The film's lead actors are Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. Moviegoers flocked to the theatres to see the film, which received rave reviews. Now, at an event on August 21, Karan revealed who he would cast in Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi's roles if he remakes RRKPK 35 years later.

During an event, Ananya Panday asked Karan Johar who he would cast in the roles of Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi if he remakes RRKPK 35 years later. Without wasting any time, KJo stated that if he ever remakes the film, he would cast Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the veteran actors' roles.
Notably, SRK and Kajol are one of the most popular on-screen couples, having appeared in Karan's blockbusters Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. At the same event, the director revealed that Rocky's relationship with his mother in the film was "sliced at the editing table" because it was becoming too long. He stated,"That’s where the edit of the film came in the way. There were many scenes of Ranveer and his mother which had to be cut out.
