Bold Earth Adventure Camps was founded in 1976, when owner and founder Abbott Wallis led 12 teens on an amazing eight-week adventure from Florida to California – and everything in between. More than 40 years and 17,000 campus later, our dedication to teen adventure travel is stronger than ever. At the heart of every one of our 27 wilderness, service, language, and immersion trips is the same go-big attitude and passion for adventure that inspired our first adventure. A summer with Bold Earth is all about friendship and adventure. With an average size of 13 campers, every group promises a team-oriented experience that is simultaneously diverse, inclusive, fun, and bonded. Our small-group formula means each participant will start his or her trip alongside strangers and end it with 12 new friends from every corner of the world. Our campers come from all 50 states and more than 55 countries. Each teen brings an open mind, a positive attitude, and a genuine curiosity about the world around them.
