Professional Background
Dr. Adam Rouse is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center and is the department's Director of Basic Research and directs the Precision Neural Dynamics Lab. He holds secondary appointments in Molecular and Integrative Physiology, Bioengineering, and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
Dr. Rouse received a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering and M.D. at Washington University in St. Louis. His Ph.D. dissertation research was completed in the lab of Dr. Dan Moran. He then completed postdoctoral research training at the University of Rochester in the Finger Movement Lab directed by Dr. Marc Schieber. He was previously a Research Assistant Professor of Neuroscience at the University of Rochester.
